Early Days

Castro Roofing family started roofing in 1962. Always know for a high quality contractor, Castro Roofing family performed residential roofing services thru the early 1960s to the early 1990. In 1995 started to expand into the commercial market. Today, Castro Roofing of Texas performs 100% commercial market.

Castro Roofing of Texas started small, only three employees cramp into a small office above Angel Rodriguez’s back yard garage. Due to high quality of customer service the company continue to grow

Introduction

Castro Roofing of Texas, L.P. operates as a commercial roofing and sheet metal contractor, primarily operating within a 200 mile radius of its Dallas/Fort Worth office.

Work performed includes re-roofing and new construction primarily utilizing single-ply membrane, built-up asphalt, built-up coal tar pitch, modified bitumen membrane, and metal roof systems. Work also includes metal roof systems, shop fabrication and field installation of roof related sheet metal, siding, coping, fascias, gutters, and downspouts.

Company Structure

Established in 1973. Incorporated in the state of Texas, December 6th, 1990 as Castro Roofing of Texas, Inc. Corporate status changed in March 29th, 2002 to a limited partnership.   No changes in ownership or management were affected. The name changed to Castro Roofing of Texas, L.P.

Business started in December 6th, 1990 by Angel Rodriguez Sr. Stock was transferred 25% each to Rodolfo Rodriguez, Juan Rodriguez, Angel Rodriguez Jr., and Angel Rodriguez Sr. in January 1st, 1993 making all owners equal partners.

Facility

Dallas, Texas; Located at 4854 Olson Dr., Dallas, Texas. Site is 1.87 acres paved. 14,020 square feet of warehouse/sheet metal shop. 1,600 square feet of office space. Facility is owned by the stockholders and leased to Castro Roofing of Texas, L.P.

The company currently employs approximately 65 personnel, although it should be noted this total fluctuates depending upon job activity. A current breakdown of employees is:

Two different types of superintendent are used, one for the low slope roofs systems and one for sheet metal and metal roof system. Superintendents answer to a production manager.

Vehicles

There are a total of 23 company owned vehicles, 3 company owned trailers, 3 telescopic forklifts, 3 warehouse forklift, and 1 crane.

TRUCKS – one 450-ton utility truck, eleven 350-ton utility trucks, two 1500-ton pick-ups.
